Check out the first pic to see what I thought was the unveiling of the mountains I've been longing to see. But instead I got the beauty of snow for a few hours. Side note: the travel guide complemented me in front of everyone for my beautiful ...

... led through this continuous facade to a square or a courtyard behind. Each building was painted a different colour or pattern in fairly pastel hues and their height was amplified by the narrowness of the streets that they lined. It was a different look to anything we have seen of late.

Rising up through these buildings were a multitude of gothic spires, green weathered copper cupolas or dome like structures, some small, others massive, ...

... of Music tour. The tour began in the morning and ran for four hours covering all the main attractions such as the Lake where the canoe scene was filmed, the gazebo where the '16 going on 17' takes place, the laneway where the kids sing 'Do Re Mi' whilst hanging from the trees, the church where the wedding between Maria and Mr Von trapp takes place, and the scenery of the beautiful snow topped mountains shown at the beginning ...
