This morning we left the picturesque Plitvice and Croatia behind us to head to Slovenia. Our stop for lunch was at the capital of Slovenia - Ljubljana. The city centre felt more urban than our last few stops - business people dressed for work, but a lovely pedestrian area with green space, the Three Bridges as well as some lovely architecture. This was a brief stop as we continued on our way to Lake Bled. ...

It winds through the mountains through tunnels and accross bridges. The longest tunnel was 6.8 kilometres, it's quite scary to think of all that mountain sat on top of you! We pulled off at lunch time into a small alpine village to get ...

Hike to Woelland Nock 2,145 m

We took from Bad Kleinkirchheim the cable car "Kaiserburgbahn". From the peak of Kaiserburg, we hiked through a fascinating world of this amazing landscape with flowering alpine meadows and whistling marmots to the summit Woelland Nock. From there we had a wonderful 360 degree view to the surrounding alpine mountains.
