This place has a great location and staff but that's all. The place needs a renovation badly. Food pretty good in the restaurant.

We stopped in the large visitor center at the south of the park and they advised us to head over to the tent-only campground at Jenny Lake ASAP if we wanted a spot as it has been filling in the morning - we were glad we did as we got the last spot for 2 nights.
We set up the tent and then headed north to see the other sites. It was cloudy with no view of the mountains so ...

We ended up not finding any, but I left the trail camera next to big piles of moose scat and huge moose prints along a deer trail next to the river. We set up camp in the sagebrush a few miles away. Gros Ventre is home to bison, moose, and elk. At night, while fee are dinner at camp, we heard coyotes yelping and howling to each other. For evening entertainment I made a fire and then sleep took ...

Maybe it was because we weren't fearing for our lives, but in all seriousness the views were amazing. We are now driving along highway 89 in Wyoming and will hot Salt Lake City in an hour or so. Sieve the civic did its job. One word of advice, don't ever blog on an iPhone, it isn't ...

... hot springs. The drive was dusty, but the grey mountains with green trees against the blue sky made up for it. Once we got to the hot spring (GraniteSprings) we walked up a dirt path above a running creek through some trees a reached a cabin and a fenced in pool. The pool was surrounded on one side by grey rock, and the other side was mountains, trees, and bright skies. The water felt warm at first, but I fell in and the ...

We then continued on with the hike where 4 of the 5 of us seemed to enjoy it. One of the 5 of us, which will remain nameless was not having a very positive attitude and was lagging behind whining and complaining. I guess that is to be expected while on a busy trip like we have been on, but it did raise tensions a bit for the rest of us.

As we reached the other side we took the 1 mile hike up the mountain to see waterfalls and hike to ...
