This place has a great location and staff but that's all. The place needs a renovation badly. Food pretty good in the restaurant.

We stopped in the large visitor center at the south of the park and they advised us to head over to the tent-only campground at Jenny Lake ASAP if we wanted a spot as it has been filling in the morning - we were glad we did as we got the last spot for 2 nights.
We set up the tent and then headed north to see the other sites. It was cloudy with no view of the mountains so ...

In the Shoshone Forest we were unable to hike as we didn't have Bear spray - no tents allowed only hard sided vehicles. We are in Grand Teton NP at the moment and will backtrack to Yellowstone this weekend. Hope all is well with you all Love ...

... National Park at Gros Ventre stream, only about 10 miles from Jackson with a great view of the Tetons and about 3.5 miles from a nice bicycle trail between the Park and Jackson. Stewart was eager for exercise and Ruby was ready for a rest. Stewart biked to the trail and another 7 miles to the Park visitor center at Moose Junction and back and Ruby enjoyed the afternoon resting at the campsite. It was a beautiful ...

... he grew up in the Park. His dad was a manager of one of the lodges. He knew the answers to all of our questions. We saw deer and many, many bald eagles. No bear….I guess I just have to give up on that wish.

We got back to the Jackson Lake Lodge around 5 pm and we had to wait for the shuttle, so we had dinner in the Lodge. I would highly recommend that if you do nothing else while in the ...

Absolutely stunning scenery, Oxbow Bend, Jenny Lake, Jackson Lake, Signal Mt, Town of Moose, Teton Village. A lot of this park was land donated by John D Rockfeller, Jr. The Grand Tetons are the teenagers of the Rocky Mts. The mountains continue to rise and the valley floor continues to ...
