This place has a great location and staff but that's all. The place needs a renovation badly. Food pretty good in the restaurant.

... growling from the safety of the car. Throughout the day we also saw elk and bison (both a first for me), coyotes (mistaken by a large group of very excited tourists as wolves), and some more pronghorn and mule deer. An exciting end to the day included the sighting of a cinnamon black bear with two cubs, one black and one cinnamon. It all happened really fast, so we couldn’t snap any good pictures, but at least we have some ...

... to think motels were kind of dingy...well now I think they are a palace and I'm being treated like a queen with all of these amenities! I ate some bagel bites, pretzels, and tea (oh so healthy, I know), took a shower, and discovered they even had laundry services so I did a load of wash. After all was said and done I felt much better and back to my normal self. Add on a good night of sleep and I will be ready for a big adventure at Yellowstone ...

We stopped in the large visitor center at the south of the park and they advised us to head over to the tent-only campground at Jenny Lake ASAP if we wanted a spot as it has been filling in the morning - we were glad we did as we got the last spot for 2 nights.
We set up the tent and then headed north to see the other sites. It was cloudy with no view of the mountains so ...

... shore is rocky but easily accessible and you get this tremendous view of the mountains. The water was crisp and clear and very refreshing after a day on the road. Later we brought the camp stove down to the beach and cooked some dinner. The kids made makeshift fishing rods from sticks and found fishing line and tried to see if they could get anything to bite. The next day we headed out for an early float trip down the Snake River. The day was so cool and clear and ...

We decided to take a detour from heading to Yellowstone and go to Jackson Hole. Andrew has a friend, Eammon McKinney, who he lived with when he was in Jackson Hole years ago so we headed to visit him. Many people have said there is so much to do in the Tetons around Jackson so we thought we'd give a few more days for the snow to melt in Yellowstone and off to Jackson we went. We drove through the rolling hills of ranches of ...
