... the church was spectacular - every walkway was framed with beautiful and fragrant flowers and intricate signs. The church catacombs offered a fun break from the beauty as we climbed through narrow passageways and old staircases.

... just how beautiful the German/Austrian countryside is- it's like a dream! Salzburg is the fourth largest city in Austria and is recognised by its Alpine backdrop. It is also the birthplace of Mozart and where the sound of music was filmed. The songs from the film infiltrated my mind- I drove Paul crazy singing most of the time we were there, raindrops on roses and mittens on kittens...doe, a deer a female deer... i am 16 going on 17! :)

... great atmosphere and delicious food! I chose a traditional Austrian beef goulash with bread dumplings! YUM! We shared apple strudel for dessert, and hung out a while longer once we realized there was a mobile hotspot nearby! ;-) We both said numerous times how we were so sad that it was our last night in Salzburg, but so excited for Munich at the same time! We are on the train to Munich right now (Wednesday morning)- and our first stop there (after coffee) will be Dachau Concentration ...
