... on the slope! Well, not really, they were just flattening the snow I think but they were all in time and there was music so it looked funny. I took a video to add to this too.
There was some other cool stuff we wanted to do nearby. We drove to a castle and past an ice cave but they were both closed. It seems like a lot of things here close for winter which is a shame, there has been plenty to see anyway though and staying here has been very nice.
This time last year I was sitting on a bus recovering from a night bringing in 2014 in Paris with my Contiki family. I was full of excitement for the adventures up coming and optimism for the year that lay ahead.
This year I am in Salzburg, Austria with my family! Mum and I stayed awake to see in midnight and boy was it worth it. Fireworks are legal for the public to buy and use here, so all night people all around the area ...
So today was the first day of 2015 and the sun finally came out and the snow stopped! I was very happy because its much nicer being able to go out for a walk without getting soaked. We didn't have any plans for today because everything is closed. Since the weather was so nice we decided that we should go out sightseeing as we could actually see the mountains from our hotel! We drove to Seekirchen am Wallersee which is a town on a lake about 20 minutes from where we ...
... us (which was incredible) and a toast to the semester.
The first two days of classes have been sort of what I was expecting, but a bit more work intensive than I may have been prepared for. But, as this point, I am ready to face the challenge!
I'll leave you all with a quote that made me view my trip in a different aspect:
