... the nucleus of our noontime break. We found another little restaurant frequented predominantly by locals and guess what...we had schnitzels once more. And for dessert...climb aboard the tramway and up to the Hohensalzburg Fortress above the town for another Mozart performance!
Today it was climb on the bus for a ride out in the country to Schloss Hellbrun, built by a local archbishop a few hundred years ago and featuring "trick" ...

... was so much fun! It had an amazing atmosphere, people everywhere, pretty lighting, and beer; that's hard to beat. We did find out later that there was a way to flavor your own beer that we missed out on but it was still a good time. We also got to choose from a whole bunch of food stands placed in the indoor part of the brewery. They had all kinds of traditional foods. We saw something that looked similar to ...

... aside, the tour took us through the countryside to some beautiful lakes and towns , the scenery is spectacular. In the afternoon we relaxed, did some further accommodation booking for the next legs of our trip and some further exploring of the old town and local shops. After another Austrian restaurant for dinner, we had a reasonably early night - off to Venice on the train tomorrow, so pretty long day ahead. ...
