A day of cold and hot

Hiking ahead of the marathon
... the Bastion to all visiting the area as the views are pretty spectacular, even on a cloudy day like today. It's a 30 minute climb up a purpose built pathway and a nice walk. The chapel is a much longer climb but still achievable if you take it slowly and are prepared to scramble a little towards the end, again worth it for the views.

As if we havent had enough of trains, we decided to take another one to the nearby Bolzano for a day trip. However, we are now experts at using the Italian rail system, mostly thanks to the DIY electronic ticket booths. They have an English option, our saviour.
