    ... fresh and delicious "myrtille" (mountain blueberry) tarte for sale. Charlie and I had happened on this buvette on a previous trip and were excited to find it still open and serving the tarte! After coffee and the tarte we moved on, taking the lower trail down which still took about 1 hour and 50 minutes and was a fairly steep "down" in several places.

    ... this area and then security hooked onto us and we didn't get back in ! We then wandered around but it was wet underfoot. Then I had a brainwave to wander into the water to the paddling boats. We were probably the only ones in shorts, so easy. We were now the closest spectators from the boats as they passed.     ... honourable mentions as the only way that either kiddos would make the parade route was with us by their sides (Avaia waving a flag from the comforts of Bob Jr. and Talia holding onto Bob Jr. eyes wide open to the lights and people all around her. They were so cute and well received.

    More fireworks, more music and one last lit fancy match that we promised Talia and we were back home for the night.
