The head check-out Lady (who I suspect is the owner) rules the roost with stern authority and seldom seems happy. Yet after 10 weeks we have ...

... small frozen leaves, twigs and insects in the walls which have probably been there for thousands of years! INCREDIBLE. We did all breathe a sigh of relief once we had climbed back up the 430 stairs and had our feet back on solid ground!!

When we were back at the top, there was an almighty thunderous echo all around us, which was a small avalanche on the other side of the valley and most of us saw it rolling down ...
