We finally made it to Bled from Bratislava after taking a taxi, 3 trains, and 2 buses- all in all, 7 hour day of travel. ... directions given were pretty bad, but we managed to find our way - thank heavens for cycle paths for us to stop and confer, as well as the occasional 3cm stickers showing the direction, stuck on random poles. (And I'm not exaggerating here, spotting them is like reading 'where's Wally' only more difficult.)

And a big thank you to the lady walking her cute white dog who directed us to a cafe - it ...

... Walked back down the hill and got an ice cream (melon) and sat down to eat those, then went back to the hostel and booked the next places - decided to go to another place in Slovenia for a night on the way to Vienna, not really sure why! Went to the supermarket and got tea and lunch for tomorrow - bread nachos and salsa - and got pudding for €0.17 each.. ...
