    Bled and Breakfast

A travel blog entry by fatboyron on Sep 02, 2015

Sadly constrained by the weather. After a beltingly hot few days in Ljubljana we decamped North courtesy of M's first left hand drive experience to Bled up near the Austrian border. Gotta love Central European road signage that includes not only the town name but the country as well. A long and fraught day finishing with a little wailing and gnashing of teeth as we searched for our new home - at least for the next few days. Sadly rain interrupted ...

... when we spent 10min zigzagging then just going round in circles. I did everything in my power not to laugh. Up early the next morning to visit the "Vintgar gorge" ahead of all the tourists was a very good idea. It was early and we hadn't had breakfast but 90min walking along the gorge was very tranquil; the sound of the flowing rapids and seeing the fish through the crystal clear water. A day out and about in Slovenia

A travel blog entry by legreens on Jul 28, 2015

We were up early to go on a day trip out and about around the Triglavski national park. I picked up bread from the bakery for sandwiches for lunch and we had breakfast and were off! It wasn't raining but the sun wasn't shinning either! We went to some pretty lakes, up to a high point with an amazing view but couldn't see anything! We went to the source of the soca river and filled up our water ...

A travel blog entry by alyssamyc on Sep 11, 2014

I woke up Thursday morning with the nagging feeling in the back of my mind that something was wrong. I reached for my phone to check the time, and had a sudden flashback to accidentally flinging my phone to its death from the bunk bed in a sleep deprived stupor last night. I had hoped that a few hours of sleep would have fixed the screen from bleeding colours, but sadly it did not. (Thankfully I found out it's not too expensive or difficult to ...

... amp; Orange Ice Cream and had a romantic walk. ( Well we were keeping the same pace) This time going the other way from where we had walked earlier. We came to Congress Square which had a Photo Exhibition celebrating Slovenia 10th anniversary of being in the EU. The photo displays were on a similar size to the ones that have been in Worcester Boulevard. There some great shots and reading the descriptions about the amount of water, conservation that Slovenia is doing. ...
