Bariloche to Esquel was travelled all on Tarmac for the Campbell's and Carlisles which lead to the Museo Pategonia. Farnons and Balls headed to Butch Cassidy 's cabin via gravel roads. Early evening beers in a Restobar followed by a Spanish meal in down town Esquel.

... was in dense Forrest (bit of a Blair witch experience as I only came across 2 couples during the 3 hours) so you really are just trekking from viewpoint to viewpoint but I am delighted I did it and if anyone is in Bariloche for a couple of days I'd highly recommend it - though a sunny clear day is obviously the optimum conditions. 14.5km later & 3.11 hours with burning calves & screaming quads I managed to make it back to the bus stop. But at least this was on an actual path so was ten times easier than the earlier crossing, although that still meant it was ten times harder than other things we could have been doing instead, such as consumer testing another Irish pub, or watching hilariously subtitled re-runs of Friends, or really any other venture which does not involve me sweating all the way through my belt. Bariloche was busy with lots of holiday makers, its the main resort in the region, and is very popular with familes and groups of teenagers - think Club 17-20! It also appears to enjoy a warmer dryer climate being a lot hotter and sunnier than Trevelin but only 150 miles further north.

... for them. Got a lift to the bus station with Marcus and his friend, both German. They had rented a car to do the Tour of the 7 Lakes of Bariloche, you can rent a car very cheaply and get them done in a day, the views are meant to be amazing. Marcus was getting the same bus as me and his friend was heading to the airport, back to Germany.
