We arrived in a hostel in the north which was an alright hostel except that we arrived at night in the middle of a power cut! We were sharing a room with another girl who was travelling on her own but she said how she was pretty disappointed with koh Samui and it didn't really seem like a backpacking place! She seemed pretty disappointed she hadn't met us earlier as she spent a lot of ...

A travel blog entry by karlaquinney on Nov 27, 2013

Today was our last morning in Koh Phangan so we decided to go and have a look for one of the waterfalls on the island before we had to catch our boat. We took the scooter and after about half an hour realised we were lost and ended up down this random construction road in the mud! Extreme scootering! It was so scary! We found a map and managed to make our way back just ...

... great matches. The locals were good players and obviously used to the table where it was all but impossible to do backspin to stop the white following the balls into the pocket. One local who had both arms chose to play one handed and was quite outstanding at it. Late on we had a one on one which were all black ball games which I just pipped him 2 -1. (Paul you would have loved it)
