We are on the back stretch and reaching for home. Two more blog entries to go. We hit the road this morning at 7:15 and 81 degrees with clear skies and headed for Baton Rouge, the capitol of Louisiana...but you knew that, of course. The drive took us through bayou country with roads raised over the water that go on for miles without relief. Fishermen were in boats below us and who knows who else…maybe my favorite Ax Man, Shelby, looking for sunken ...

Tallahassee is not just the capitol of Florida, more importantly it is the home of Marcus's alma mater, Florida State University (FSU). Go Seminoles! While this may not seem important to some, it is important to me because if you know Marcus, you know he tells wonderful stories…and some of my favorites are from the Sigma Nu fraternity house at FSU. By the way, do you know that FSU has a circus school? I do, because ...

Off to Tallahassee, Florida today. It should be a 6 hour drive today. Drove into the state of Alabama at 9:15 a.m. We saw the USS Alabama Battleship "The Hero of the Pacific." It rests at the Battleship Park on Mobile, Bay. I have a pic of it from the moving truck for your viewing enjoyment. I saw a truck blow it tire while it was passing us. Sounds like a shot gun with lots of smoke. Cool for me but not too cool for the driver I would think. 10:30 a.m. we entered ...

My last day was spent in the Sydney office (pix attached) meeting with the great staff there. Our office is just across the Harbor Bridge and has beautiful views, which I tried to capture between monsoon rains! Office is a melting pot of cultures, including a woman named Julia for Russia! And the space itself is hip and modern, which I loved. Monday night's dinner was the best I had all week. And I finally got a decent bottle of wine! We went to a place called Otto - which ...
