... begining of the evening was a bit of a battle between me wanting a drink and Louisa wanting to buy evrey pair of cowboy boots that she saw in NUMEROUS shops. Thankfully the shops shut and we enjoyed everything the Honkie Tonks had to offer.
The next day we did some serious shopping for the 'perfect pair of cow boy boots' before spending the evening at the Ole Opry to see some authentic ...
... and nothing looking very familiar I realised I was looking at a map of Philadelphia! So two dummy awards for me today!
We did end up on our correct flight and arrived safely in Nashville - so all good. The girls though ended up being delayed for about three hours in Detroit!
While we were waiting for the girls we did find our accommodation, the grocery store and of course our local - The Nashville Palace.
... guy on the front desk was dressed like Elvis – presumably dressing up is part of the St. Patrick ’s Day thing around here – and he got us all set up. The room itself is decorated in brown and mustard yellow and has guitar cushions….it’s totally bizarre, but at the same time, pretty cool. We settled down to bed after another long and tiring day, with another one to come tomorrow…we’re off to Kentucky in the morning to visit Mammoth Cave National Park! Deej ...
