Beautiful park ! Many places to fish.

    Not dog friendly.

Half campsites were on the beach and half on the river.

Riverside has one bathhouse / Air conditioned but not close to all the sites.

    Large sites overall.

Rained the first day, flooded 95% of the riverside sites, ours (#54) was the worst with at least 4" of standing water.

No vacant dry spots. Refund issued returned home.

Will try again during dry season. (maybe)

When we taxied in at Kearney, the EAAs B-17 , "Aluminum Overcast" was sitting on the ramp to great ...

Per tradition, I once again find myself writing a blog entry the day before my adventure begins. I'm ...

... Bob; so Mike , Bob and I braved the fast approaching thunderstorm that sent Philip and Katie running for the car (I am not even gonna say anything about this - judge for yourself). After a few minutes the three of us had an intimate moment with a beautifully, cryptically colored (ok it's brown) male sparrow singing a muted song. I will say - that to be able to watch such a skulker being a bird is why I do what I do and share these experiences with hopefully it inspires ...
