We really liked the location of this hotel for restaurants and bars. It was $25 cab ride from the airport, but after that you don't really need cabs. The elevator was kinda slow and you have to take 2 to get to get to the room. Room was nice and had and awesome TV. I would stay again.

I will most likely not be able to upload the higher resolution video from my GoPro video camera until I get back but should be able to put some photos in here whenever I get wi-fi in the hotel rooms.

We headed back to Charlotte on Friday morning planning on making a return stop to Fatz for lunch, however once we reached Shelby we decided that if Red Bridges Barbecue Lodge had made it both on NC Barbecue Society Historic Barbecue Trail, and was highly recommended by Gail from Fatz, then perhaps we should give it a chance.

We pulled into the diner which was very quaint and ordered one of their small trays for me and one of their large ...

... The whole place does speak to ones heart. It is definitely a place to visit if in the area.

Entertainment tonight was a local band, The Chris Matthews Band. They are a country rock band, so you know how thrilled Bob & I were. But they were pretty good when you could understand what they were singing. Since the temperature was rapidly descending, many people left and we moved up closer to the stage where we were hoping it might be ...
