1 Woche Almhof Lackner. Alles ein bisschen alt, aber sehr sauber, schönes Zimmer und gutes Essen. Speisesaal im 70er Stil etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

... couple of local spots we would frequent in our week. The bar at our hotel and a cafe and bar called Hocus Pocus. It was located near the main square and aside from having lovely coffee, large teas and delicious hot chocolates it had this really quirky atmosphere and was non-smoking - perfect.
Ah Innsbruck you've been wonderful. I will happily return to see you.
Next Stop: Salzburg
... to get back up after falling over. We then went up the moving strip (where I had earlier fell off) and down the baby slope. It was fast and fun and we had to dodge children on toboggans who had no sense of direction. There were times when I could mauver around the poles like a pro and times when I just had to pull them out as I was going to mow them down haha.
By the end of our 2 hour lesson my legs were burning - a great 2 hour leg session I'd say! ...
... snow village we imagined we would get to see. It's just beautiful.
We've played like kids in the snow, had snow ball fights, built a snow man (sort of), jumped in it, fell in it, and thoroughly looked like deadset tourists haha. I love snow!
... tree I had bought yesterday. Our very first fresh Christmas tree as a family! We had Austrian Beer and Argentinian wine to drink and fresh cheeses, bread, pretzels and cured meats for our Christmas dinner. We enjoyed a few drinks in the bar around the fire before calling it a night.
What a Christmas to remember. It’s mean to snow tomorrow, all my fingers and toes are crossed!

... and I paid €31 for hire of economy boots, skis and poles. It does work out quite expensive, but it's certainly well worth it, just make sure you get there early as it does get very busy!
If you stay in Innsbruck it's certainly a good idea to rent a car as it gives you much more freedom. Innsbruck is extremely close to the Italian and German borders, so there's the opportunity to go to places like Munich with ease. It is also a great idea to drive into ...
