... WE DONT LIKE QUEUE JUMPERS ESPECIALLY GERMANS !!! St Mathias church was amazing with every area of the walls and ceiling decorated and this one you could go up onto the balconys and look down, finally climbing up into the roof space ! Mind you it was a long way down via a spiral staircase that made you dizzy !!! Now the Hungarians like what I can only describe as stogy food - chunky sausages, ham hocks etc. now for lunch this is too much, to today ...

... us about a new venice your, so watch this space ! Next in the restaurants came a Jewish restaurant with kosher soup, very much like a consommé with a few lumps in ! A final walk past our hotel and 4 1/2 hours later we stopped at an Hungarian restaurant and had goulash and different types of strudel, one of the nicest being cream cheese and apricot Full we returned to the hotel for the usual couple of glasses of champagne, before Donna needed a burger before bed ...

... rest of the night. I was surprisingly not bothered by Rob's nocturnal ravings about hauntings. All I could think was this is why I don't like watching scary movies with him and Jem. At 7:30 (and with no additional paranormal activity to report) we made our way downstairs for breakfast. Breakfast was served in the sun drenched dining room on the ground floor. The Garden Hotel in Szolnok proves to be very comfortable... despite the whole squad of sulky teenage footballers from Dubai. Luckily, they settle down reasonably early! We breakfast and then go into town. The old city has some interesting buildings... as well as a fair taking place. Today is a national holiday to celebrate the first King of Hungary being crowned... so all the schopps are schutt!... so still no wooly to ...
