... a bit early, but we walked around a few stalls and I bought Pirates of the Caribbean in German. We ate ice cream and had drinks in a little cafe, and enjoyed sitting in the sun. Halver was quite small, but a very cute little town with beautiful houses! We didn't have any more plans, so we set the satnav to drive to a spot of blue we found on a map and hoped it was a beautiful lake! Take a look at the pictures of what I call the Dragon Bridge. This was an example ...

Bike ride

On our second day, Conrad took us on a 18km bike ride through Recklinghausen. Most of their bike paths are off the street. Some share the sidewalk and others share the road. All are well signed for us newbies. I hadn't been on a bike in a long time. I was surprised I made it all the way.
