We've had three very full on days at Caravan Salon, Europe's biggest motorhome show. It has been my second visit and Eric's first. It still staggers me how big the show is - 2500 motorhomes and caravans, 16 halls the size of the whole indoor area at ASB Showgrounds in Auckland plus lots of outside exhibitors. ... another day. We returned our motorhome to Bürstner in Kehl and caught a lift to the bahnhof (train station) in Offenburg. Our first leg to Dusseldorf was on the super fast ICE train. Then we switched to a regular train in Mannheim for the last leg. We got the best views of castles as the train followed the Rhein.

Today Kevin attended a conference in Essen, Germany. It was over 2 1/2 hours from Darmstadt. Essen is the headquarters for Evonik, but the conference was held at a local hotel.
