... but all I wanted was my wee dram. Or two. It was worth the wait as the quality of stuff they pumped out was mighty fine (and mighty strong). Who knew that fine single malt matched so well with crystallised ginger? Imagine a world without Barley? I've been having plenty of Barley soup in Scotland, something they call Scotch Broth, but it does seem like a misappropriation of Barley when it could be put to work in either Beer or Whiskey.

... et skridt værd! Det var sjovt for mig, Joan, at se mere af kløften, som vi også besøgte i sommer. I morgen rejser vi mod vulkanøen Skye. Vi har efterhånden vænnet os til at køre på smalle veje og i venstre side, og det er godt, idet Skye ikke byder på veje ret meget bredere end ...

We show up and they say that seats have just opened and would we like to go to row 1.....of course. the venue is very small (32 people in the audience), small stage with one bagpiper, one fiddler, one accordianist and pianist...all sang, they told stories and had people up dancing.....it ...

... she was sure he was going to get charged as he snapped that particular shot. He did get some good pictures! The three of us then spent some time trying to inch up on sheep and get their photos as well, taking turns on who went first for the first shot. ... my meal - love that unpredictable Highland weather! Also at the pub were the Scottish/New Zealand couple and the friends they had been in a hurry to meet.
