... spot for dinner, mezze and drinks on another night. We swung into a bar called Montreal where we had our first Yen Raki experience. We listen to music on the stroll back to Istiklal. We stopped for a snack at Durumzade and had an amazing wrap made fresh from the grill at the front of a tiny shop just like Bordain in No Reservations before heading back to the hotel on the tram.

Newly proficient in the tram system, we’re looking forward to navigating this city like old ...

... Palace which was very large and had some ornate rooms but nothing amazing. It also had a massive harem which took my close to half an hour to walk through. The sultan doesn't have wives instead he picks a son of his favorite concubine to succeed him which I found kind of interesting. Then I headed over to the archeological museum. I'm not too into ancient history but the collection probably rivals the ancient collection in London... it's just more Greek/Roman ...
