We had a very early start as the train from Bayeux to Rennes went at 7.28am. This is the train we would need to take if we wanted to go to Mont St Michel for the day. Even after looking at the map, Alex couldn't quite believe we were that close to the sea as we did not see one little bit! ... on the key side called La Belle Vie and had a proper feast! We had brochettes of monkfish and chorizo with a tomato purée thing which tasted a bit like sweet potato, and gorgeous dressings. Looked dead posh! Ben had pizza and Bella had moules, and they shared, kind of! Creme brûlée with grand marnier to finish off, hank had tiramisu and the kids had ice cream. All was fab, gorgeous meal. Came back to ...

... away the afternoon with Kung fu panda and excessive tent cleaning (sand is really getting to us now!) Spot of grocery shopping in Leclerc and a very wet BBQ for tea. Got a bit fraught after tea as rain confinement sent us all a bit stir crazy but we now have one in bed asleep (hopefully) and one very sleepy bumper boy wrapped in a blanket on my lap. Wine is flowing and fairy lights are ...
