Ottobeuren is a small town which has a lovely little square in front of our hotel and an enormous church and abbey. Formerly a Benedictine abbey, it was founded in 764. We went and visited the church and inside was very cold, actually freezing.

... Had wurst and a pretzel. Whenever you get wurst, it comes with a mound of sauerkraut, which germans eat like any other food (unlike in the US where I've only ever had it as a condiment). Bought large chunk of moldy cheese.

Amazing! King Ludwig II was crazy but he has an amazing castle that was made for him. The weather was not the best but the castle was impressive non the less. Went inside but no pictures of course. For it's massive size the castle is not finished! King Ludwig died (possibly murdered) before it was finished so they stopped production. Beautiful view that I will alway ...
