... Road or Romantische Strade which is a 400 km plus tourist route through Bavaria. If we were to believe the Lonely Planet it would have been crowded with tourist buses and souvenir shops, but luckily the person who wrote that section in the book obviously didn't travel much beyond one crowded town. The Romantische Strade sounds like the route of an ancient pathway taken in Roman times, but it is apparently a tourist route established in the 1950s to revive ...

So off we go up the Romantic route to get to Wurzburg. We start off by visiting two spectacular castles neuschwanstein and hohenschwangau two very different but beautiful buildings high up in the Bavarian Alps. Unfortunately Mr T is not feeling great so after our trip to the castles a tough decision has had to be made - we need to hit the motorway and get to Wurtzburg.
