    Drove down several motorways from Stirling to Dumfries. Then to Caerlaverock Castle.

    Tues. Went to reghed and had look around. Rohan went to football match Carlisle United. I went Out to pub in Stainton for dinner.     ... in the end worked well and it was almost a pity to emerge from the hills into the lowlands of Scotland but the drive to the Castle made up for it. The entrance to the castle was through an impressive gateway beside a foaming river, there was then a long single track drive through woods to the castle itself, with the caravan site being situated immediately outside the castle walls.
