... told the story of how the Chief fell in love with an Indian girl and named the mountains after her bosom. Titty mountains!!!

We then went to an aquarium where we saw seahorses and trumpet fish and the dangerous lion fish that is apparently a dangerous poisonous fish, an interloper to these waters. There was also a ‘Nurse Shark’ and some turtles but I felt the pools they were kept in were really too small for ...

Slept a bit better with the a/c on though had to switch off
in the middle of the night – the parrot and nearby cocks (or was it just the
parrot imitating some?) weren’t too disturbing.

Coffee’d up (strong but not good) got an early start to
playa El Caribe – nice, quiet and not too hot but no traffic so had to take a
cab – knocked him down 10 bolivares to 20! Had ...

the fishing boats in the bay and the adjacent fish market reassures you it’s
likely to be good and fresh.

... being enough punters, that I would be
sad, so, as the beach here is probably as nice (though maybe more windy) as the
ones there, decided not to bother.

Checked out the not so supermarket that opens on a Monday –
didn’t even sell coffee!!!! But the beer was 3 for a dollar, so who cares about
      the coffee!

The water was lovely and not too lumpy, despite the wind,
for swimming. Strolling from the hotel along the beach was more challenging as

... Trip Advisor – maybe they were before wifey died and things have been let go since, but the room was dirty, way overpriced, the fan like it's owner was barely operational and the fridge took off & climbed to 30,000 feet for about 5 mins every quarter hour!! Add to this curtains that don’t meet, the musty pillows and the owner stumbling in even drunker and hawking away, meant I did not sleep well and couldn’t wait to leave ...
