Paris, Île-de-France, France frank__823... be our main form of transport for the rest of our stay in Europe. We checked inside and brought our heavy bags up to our rooms on the second floor. It seems as though all our bags are putting on weight. Although I don't think we are going to put them on a diet anytime soon!
After a short time to settle down, we rushed downstairs to meet the restis a man named of our tour group for dinner. Our tour leader ...

... for Brit and Kate, which meant we skipped breakfast. Didn't bother me but made some others a little annoyed! So we arrived in Paris after a very long, long, loooonnnggg bus trip (a little over 5 hours). Our first sightings of La Tour Eiffel were quite exciting :D , even with the droplets of rain spoiling the perfect view. We drove around it and then had an hour and a half to walk around, take some photos and eat lunch (/brunch because we missed breakfast). WEP said that we didn't have ...
Paris, France xoxoliza... small compared to our palacial estate over at the Paris Hilton, but the location couldn't be beat. I'd already purchased a museums and monuments pass, and had left the majority of the itinerary planning up to J. He wanted to visit the Musee d'Orsay (I knew that'd be on the list), and we had just enough time to do that before closing. The Louvre is a historical perspective of art that goes up until just about the early 1800s, and then continues in ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France secrex... sure. But I doubt that it would have been as enjoyable. I wouldn't have chosen the same places to visit, I wouldn't have known Gaie and Frank, or Jens. Even little things like stopping to admire a famous painting in an art museum; I would have never stopped to look at said painting longer than 30 seconds had Karla not stopped to look at it. But because she did this, I remember something she said about that painting. I feel like I've gotten a vacation twice as enriched ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France tbassplayer... Zoom employees, who immediately followed the nurse's advice of food, water and then blankets for a nap stretched across two seats if they could be found. Apparently this is happening more and more due to the restrictions on fluids which means there are more problems with dehydration, which is the nurse's best guess due to the fact that I've flown a lot. After eating and drinking and napping, I did feel better. I managed to get into Paris ...
Paris, France jayne2008Thursday July 12: Today we got up went to the train station. We had to validate our Eurail pass, since that was the first time we used it. We rode the train out to the Normandy region of France. Normandy is north west of Paris and part of the region is on the Atlantic Ocean. We changed trains once and then arrived in Bayeux about 2 and a half hours later. This town was about 10 min from the ocean and is a good base camp for seeing the WWII sites ...
Paris, France mccle015Tuesday 16 January, I left Cincinnati on the eight-hour overnight Delta flight to Paris arriving at 10:00 local time. That makes one short night on an airplane (three hours sleep). I have a six-hour layover in Paris before going on to another, longer overnight flight to Mauritius. I have a frequent flyer card with Air France, so I'm able to use their lounge which is comfortable, but I still fight to stay away so that I don't miss my next flight.
Paris, France joelmeeker... eiffel tower at sunset and got to take some really really snazzeroo photos - which i`ll have to upload later because the internet cafe here doesn`t have photo capabilities. -even though some americans say the eiffel tower is small and unimpressive, i thought it was fantastic. if you are in the aforementioned camp, i suggest you walk up the tower instead of paying to take the lift (yeah, i'm on a ...
