          ... along the boardwalk and scouted two potential dining spots. I will not bore you with more food pics; suffice it to say the meal was good - not exceptional. The setting was great along the Rhine in an old family run Gasthof Adler.

          Tomorrow will be an easy drive back to Dan and Andrea's place - something under three hours.
          Hope everyone is having a good Remembrance Day remembering what it was all about those many years ago!!

          ... the world.
          There was entertainment in the bar. A violinist and a pianist and a MC...not sure why they needed a MC, maybe no English?? They were very good, I wish Sue Ball was here to tell us - because I know they were not symphony caliber but very good musicians, and this job gives them a chance to do what they love. Make a living? Not sure about that...although there are many, many tourists.

          ... the city hall dating back to 1200 although it has been extended twice with different architectural style. It has been rebuilt after being extensively damaged by allied bombing in WWII. The highlight was the Cologne cathedral, which is the second tallest church in Germany, is a magnificent structure.           after a busy few weeks at the uni with classes, it was finally time to relax a bit and visit some christmas markets. A few of the other international students (ERASMUS) have all been travelling to belgium/netherlands and other parts of Germany.
