Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany garretaIt was sooooo cold in Frankfurt, we didn't want to spend much time here since we had no winter clothing. WE got in late, went to our hotel, then back to the airport to get our flight to Bangkok moved up. We though it would be at 8 that night, but they managed to get us on the next flight out, which was pretty much within the hour. Woohooo! I also kept speaking Italian in Germany... so confused with all the languages.
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany sofenjon... be proud; I think time almost stopped in the Christmas store. It was so sparkly and festive, a very happy place.

I wisely saved Philsophenweg for the next day, allowing a little rest from the stair master treatment. The path starts with a monkey guarding the old bridge, which was mobbed by Japanese tourists snapping photos every time I passed by. The mobs thinned to a trickle by the end of the bridge ...
Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany wilwayco... at my back. As I turned the corner away from the stares and took a deep breath, I suddenly recalled where my wallet was hiding. I sheepishly got back into the same line and the cashier felt sorry for me and once again was kind. He even offered for me to join their shopping club - I politely declined. Once in that store was enough, thank you very much.

Finding Terminal B Gate 62 was also not exactly easy - but I did finally ...
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany dsauter... Now we can’t wait to go back and spend more time in Sulzbach so we can tour the orchard!

We had a great dinner with great company, we reminisced about their trips to Florida and the Gators-Vols game, we learned more about the 2009 Oktoberfest songs and found out the Nadine was to perform one of them at the local festival later in the month, and then we drove back to their apartment to see all of the American sports paraphernalia hanging ...
Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany the_stammsDidn't get too much sleep last night...the rain was just drumming on our tent, and we were just waiting for the water to seep through...lucky it didn't...and we stayed dry!
Tested out our new Wolf-Skin sleeping mats too....Super! Yay!
So got up and took the tent down inside out...all wet, will have to hope for some good weather in the next 2 days!
Its going be a wet day by the looks of it.....Headed off and drove to Konopiste ...
Zwingenberg, Hesse, Germany nomads06... glimpse of night life. People of all age, couples, singles you name it, it was there, shaking those legs to incredible dance rythms. The drinks were rather steep but nothing really overboard. Wrong impressions about German night life: 1. German's are not stiffs! (particular the males!!) 2. German clubs do not close early. At about 4.30am it was time to hit the sack back at Floersheim and get some rest for the following tour of Frankfurt sights!!!
Floersheim, Germany perl... The 200mL bottle of water I am drinking now at this cafe costs 2.30€ (AU$3.75). At the front of the museum was an art thing that was lots of life-sized sheep all grazing and lying down. The coolest thing was though that the sheep were made out of old telephones. The handsets were the feet, the fur was the curly cord wrapped around and around and the head was the main part. They even had a black sheep that was separated from the pack - how ...
