We bought more masks for €1 and €2 each and when we went to eat in a posh restaurant the girls immediately got out the paints and started to paint them. So, we just admired it from the outside! We also missed the Frari Church - the first time we got there, right around lunch, they were closed for an hour (no explanation, just closed); then when we ...

... a very good Chablis, and then back to the compartment to watch the world, or more accurately Italy go by. The journey was very familiar as the train ran by the A4 autostrada for most parts going through Milan, Verona , Padova and eventually across the causeway into Venice.
