... Unfortunately, the calm did not last. Twenty kilometers in, the directions, map, and directional arrows on sign posts diverged. Oh dear!!! What were we to do? At first we followed the map, but that was dicey because it only includes a few street names. So then we followed the red and green arrows, but they took us off the map route. ... have to return to one day. Our boat was the home to 32 people, all Aussies excepted for three crazy kiwis! From the moment we stepped on the boat it was clear that some serious partying was to come! After 7 nights on the boat I have countless stories, 32 new friends, memories to last me a lifetime and severe sleep deprivation! Hope everyone is well at home and that my room hasn't turned into a home gym yet! ...

... or at a dead-end, you have to work your way back and choose another route. While at first it was a bit strange to be alone in the dark walking down narrow alleys, we realized this is where everyday life happens in Venice and as we walked we could see and hear people inside the buildings on either side of us enjoying their evening family meal or doing after supper chores. While we were often alone on our journey, we also often crossed men and women walking their ...
