We arrived at Llanes and it took 5 hours to drive to Lanes. It was so boring.
When we got there we realized that there were cats.

They were so cute and there was also donkeys, cows and sheep.

The next day we went to some blow holes.

... in the hole, blow back up to them.

Small towns in winter don't open their shops and restaurants for very long periods, if at all, which can be very frustrating.

So the night we chose to eat dinner out, we walked all over the centre and found out that dinner was only open from 8pm.

So it was off to a wine bar with 3 kids to wait.

Dinner was worth the wait as it was a delicious meal of seafood and paella.

They looked pretty awesome.

There is about 24 beaches in this area.

We also went to see some blow holes. There were about 5 or 6 of them.
Most of them made us get soaked.

... it has just celebrated it first 20 years.

It is lovely to see the way the Bilbao city planners are transformimg the town on from its industrial past into a city showcasing modern art. The town has many interesting sculptures dotted around, and of course the Guggenheim is the jewel in the crown. Interestingly a conversation with a neighbour in the “aire” at Bilbao said the museum was more interesting on the outside than inside, so ...

... mountains. Stunning rockfaces and eagles everywhere amazing country. The only reason they built the 2.5km funicular which is in a tunnel through the mountain is to get the bushwalkers and climbers a fair way up the mountain. Abseil faces about 300m high. Makes our cliffs look like kindergarten jumps.

Spent part of today at San Vincene - medieaval town, huge estuary and once again more food shops than you could poke a stick at.
