    ... doors of the ferry got stuck so nobody could get off. In the end, free drinks were issued, the boat was turned round and, 3 hours later, the lorries were reversed off and we were able to get on our way.
    We drove 80 km and arrived at our campsite (Monte Royal), having gone over a mountainous area with snow poles already in situ at the side of the road, at 10.15pm but, being Spain, were able to order a simple meal at the bar. It was a chilly evening at this altitude.

    We booked a hotel in Potes to explore the national park Picos de Europa. Such a beautiful range of mountains. Potes is on the eastern side.
