... 2001. Cut is half mile wide an 1500 feet deep.

From Lead took Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway north to Spearfish. Very scenic. Saw both Roughlock Falls and Bridal Veil Falls.

Ate at hotel and drove 15 miles east on Interstate 90 so Kathy could see Sturgis. This town of 6600 is famous for its Motorcycle Rally in early August. Currently it is a quiet and depressing place. Took a few pictures and went back to Spearfish.

We went up Spearfish Canyon today to have lunch at Cheyenne Crossing. This was where stagecoaches stopped for horses and water on their trip from Deadwoo, SD to Cheyenne, WY.

I had a Buffalo Burger and fries for lunch. It was great!

The dog traveled with the bike up Spearfish Canyon to Cheyenne Crossing also.
