          ... one are now showing your age) we walked hurriedly re-tracing our steps and there it was the Dodge silver sedan we have hired for the first couple of weeks. With 2 minutes to spare we got in and got out of there quick.Which way to go - who cares just get out and find a spot to pull over. Lol - next time we best not be so relaxed when we park.

          ... but the wind on that island is enough to freeze you from the inside out! This was followed by a trip to China Town (mourning for Asia already and we’d only been gone 3 days!), eating clam chowder out of a sourdough bowl in Union Square and a walk down to Pier 39, which had Faye reminiscing about bank holiday Mondays down Whitley Bay!           ... with everyone else! Although we enjoyed seeing Venice, the hostel was a little bit of a let down. Overall - I loved staying at Venice and it was something different. I'm not sure if people are retired or how they live just skating around everyday but it was definitely a different way of life. I wouldn't go back, simply because I felt like we did everything we could. The only let down was the room and how hot it was. Other then that, we had a great time :) Notes. ...

          I am finally here in Australia. Arrived this morning at 9:30 AM and at the hotel at about 11.30 after a long 15 hour flight from LA and a long line at Customs & Immigration. I arrived on 2/22 having lost 2/21 completely ( lost a day crossing the international date line) Freshened up and then joined the group for short "walk about" ...
