... The Maroons are the descendants of African slaves who escaped to the hills when the British arrived and defeated the Spanish in the late 1600’s. After many years of unrest and a couple of wars and a few treaties, the Maroons have managed to maintain tax free status. Morning -We woke up at 11am and went for a walk to find money. There was a Scotia bank atm at the hospital so we withdraw $15000 JMD but got charged 500 fee. It took us a while to figure out how to get into the hospital and it was super super hot and sweaty. We had to wear loose dresses as we were so hot -We caught a taxi into town and walked to the hip strip, where we ran into Mckenzie but told him "no we are ok" ...

17. The decor (a bit careworn) is nicely done - doesn't look like a Holiday Inn.
