... wandered around the city for a while looking for a hostel that had heating and decent internet access and discovered Backpack Oz on Wakefield street. I rocked up about 10 but wasn't able to check in to my room until 1, so, after a 3 hour kip on the couch in the foyer (God bless the laid back attitude of hostels) I got up to the room and returned to bed for another 3 hours. If nothing else my sleeping patterns are definitely back on US time now.

There are not the crowds one associates with London but the architecture is a mix of modern eclectic designs alongside old art deco and sandstone buildings.
