... the gardens, we're going to drive 70 miles there then back on ourselves on exactly the same road before heading to the next site. Not the most efficient move we've ever made but we weighed it up and reckon it'll be worth it. Another lovely light evening, not as chilly as the previous couple. We watched Rain Man movie with vino, snacks and nibbles before last bed in Le ...

We went to Abbaye de L'Epau on the outskirts of Le Mans. Jon volunteered to read (snooze) with Prego in the van whilst I looked around. It was cold outside so we didn't feel too bad leaving Prego a little longer whilst we browsed. We did a "big shop" then headed back to camp. Lovely girl on reception spoke great English. We chose pitch 52 and Jon got set up in the rain whilst I sorted bits. Unlimited electric and water, free wifi ...

We took a train from Paris and arrived in LeMans about 11 am. We had arranged for Valentin, our intern from last year, to pick us up from the train.  We were very surprised to see the whole family on our train platform, including his parents and also Celine and Julien with their children. It was very special. They took us to old city of LeMans, with its Roman walls which date from the ...
