... many others who had gotten on the wrong side of the scoundrels in power),the chapel and grounds were included in our ticket, just not the halls of justice! The huge vaulted hall is part of an old palace where the soldiers of the king would gather and feast. Marie Antoinette's cell was small but at least had a bed and a chair. She had 2 guards with her at all times. Women had an outside area to walk and wash their clothes. Hmmmmm.... Continuing on to the Marais district we passed ...

After that, I grabbed my ticket for the River Cruise, which I will use Sunday I think, maybe at night. Then I looked for the Sewer Museum, which is something included in the Paris Pass. There was roller skating, gymnastics, a comedic act, a girl dancing with snakes in a pool of water, and lots and lots of big act singing and dancing. A very enjoyable evening out. This was our last full day in Paris. It was nice to just relax and do our own thing. Tomorrow evening we fly to London and then onto Singapore. We are both starting to feel glad to be heading ...

On friday we had a day touring around Paris using the red hop-on hope-off buses. We visited the arc de triumph, champs elyees and the eiffel tower. I stood in awe at the size of the eiffel tower which is incredible. It was such a shame about the weather which was oh so cold and grey and so the tower and gardens did not look as beautiful as i had seen in pictures or on tv. I am so glad i have been there and seen ...

... in at St Sulpice on the way. St Sulpice is known to The Da Vinci Code fans as the church where the albino monk murdered the nun. In reality, it is home to a reproduction of the Shroud of Turin and a couple of Eugene Delecroix frescoes depicting St Michael slaying the dragon and Jacob wrestling with the angel. It is a large, yet simple church and well worth the visit. We were heading towards a crossing just outside St Sulpice when we saw a man ...
