Today we spent much of our time in Jardin d'Acclimatation with our bags. We went to a children's fair areas to take advantage of the pretty gardens and picnic tables. During our time a girl came up to us laughing and speaking quickly in French. Later she interpreted we were the only people she has ever seen carting packs in the park. It took awhile but I was able to view the beautiful hidden canal one last time with many other Parisians. It was nice just walking around and blending in instead of doing the usual tourist things. I found my baguette and headed back to the hostel. At the hostel, I went to the restaurant and met up with Michelle and Michael from last night. ...

Headed off to see palace of Versailles. Arrived to find that today was the day museum workers decided to strike so the palace was shut. Headed to Eiffel Tower instead and did the stair climb. Had lunch at the restaurant up there. We saw plenty of Gypsies and had one approach us with their scam but we walked away. We then walked to napoleons Tomb and military museum. It was open but we got to watch the strikers ...
