... by this stage (especially Jess) but we managed to all hold it together and get through the over tiredness and get everyone into bed. Obviously when I say we managed to hold it together I mean me, the five women in my life are very lucky to have me around to get things done, even if I say so myself. Of course I am also very lucky to have all of them. A very happy birthday to our Allegra and Olivia, I can't believe they are 5 already, I hope they remember this day for a long time to ...

... Then we walked to Ile St Louis to drop Agnes off safely and then walked Ornella to Hotel de Ville to catch her train home. It was quite a day, the girls are gorgeous and their partners were absolutely charming. We just blobbed at home, it's a school day tomorrow! This church is very different in construction than St. Denis that we visited yesterday - especially in that ...

A travel blog entry by bkmuir on Aug 30, 2014

Well today we could have had a bit so a sleep in as we didn't have any planned tours. We were going to wing it. Went to brekky - nice as usual. Then off from the hotel about 9am to the Metro. Caught line 1 to Charles de Gaulle Etoile and got out right across from the Arc Di Triomphe on the Champs de élysées. Wicked! Took some pictures and then crossed under the road using a pedestrian tunnel to get to the Arc. We were able to buy tickets to go the the top fairly easily. ...

... First course: veal tartare, homemade cheese, raw almonds, and pressed fish roe. Evan liked the tartare and cheese, but the roe was a bit salty for him. Brad is not a fan of raw meat, but enjoyed the push outside of his comfort zone. Second course: lamb sweetbreads (glands), baby leeks, hazelnuts. This was one of my favorites! We just told Evan it was lamb meat (because he loves lamb) and he gobbled it down. The waiter came over and said he was ...
