All Seasons Bourges

We were all out the door with our luggage by 8:15 this morning to meet our Flemish driver, Jean (who somewhere along the route got a call from his daughter telling him he's going to be an Opa next year), for the journey to Guedelon and then Bourges.

Except for 15 minutes at a rest area (which was a helluva lot nicer than any rest area I've ever seen in the U.S.), our first stop was at Guédelon to see a 13th century castle being built. When I saw this bit on ...

... french cooking classes. Owen made crepes and lemon mousse, and Weez made quiche and onion tart. Tres bon!

Tomorrow we are back to Paris for 2 more days and then home! We are sad to wrap up our adventures - it has been unbelievably wonderful. But we are looking forward to seeing Dad, and being home, and looking forward to seeing all our wonderful friends!!

Chose a noter Sao-Tome est le pays le plus proche du "centre du monde": le croisement entre l'équateur et le méridien de Greenwich. L'équateur passe en effet par sur l'ilhéu das Rolas . (petite iles composant l'archipel au Sud du pays) et le méridien de greenwich n'est qu'a 6° de la capitale.

Left Blois in the rain and drove south, past Chartres with the cathedral really impressive over the plain. Tried La Motte Beuvron put not nice so onward. Weather hot as we moored by canal with mad fisherman. Cycles out and into town for pression and a bit of shopping.

Hi all Well it had to happen for the first time on this trip we awoke to the dreaded sound of RAIN!!!!!!!!!! Thunder overnight.
