Today we woke up and went to the Da Vinci exhibition which we were trying to find the other day. There were replica inventions of his real ones each one had an explanation of what it was. I found the exhibition a bit boring but dad really liked it. After that we all caught the metro to the train station where we had a really nice baguette for lunch and a McFlurry afterwards. At the train station we bought ...

We can't have our suitcases open and can only take them out one at a time to take things out of them. The hotel provided us with a private boat to Murano at no cost. We were met by an old Italian man who walked us to the pick up point and got us into the boat. The driver then took us to Murano where a slick looking man met us and walked us into the building. He got a phone call so we were passed to another man. We watched the 'master' glass blower and his son the apprentice make a chandelier arm. The apprentice then made a horse. Our ...

... our area a little more so followed a google map of the area and quickly found ourselves in some beautiful but busy areas along the Strad Nuovo. Dianne again excelled in shopping with a bag purchase - embarassing me with her haggling over the price with an African street vendor. "30 Euros, no 25 - no I only have 20 Euros in my bra - want to see if there is any extra?" I almost fell over - but that's the unique experience of shopping ...
