We were up in time to watch our arrival into St. Maarten. We were the first ship into port and watched four other massive ships pull in. The island is pretty by the water but very desert like away from the coast.
We learned that the Dutch side of the island, which is where we are docked, is spelled St. Maarten and the French side is spelled St. Martin. You can't tell when you go from one to the other except for the signs along the road...most of the ...
Well! What a weekend. You'd think these girls had been locked up all their lives and had been suddenly set free and told to "Go for it"! AND THEY DID!
Friday Night was a warm up with dinner at Lagoonies which gave all the Ladies the opportunity to suss out the lay of the land so as to speak. Saturday Night the girls cut loose at Loterie Farm with the entire Belgian Marine Corps and Sunday Night, Tina in particular, was simply outstanding as she performed a number ...
... to keep drinks and food cold.
Eddy is flushing and servicing the A/C units today so that we can run them off the generator at anchor. The filters and compressors are filthy and look like they've never been serviced properly. Can't run them when sailing but there is always plenty of breeze here to keep you cool.
So its all coming together. Looking forward to seeing "The Chickybabes" out here in the Caribbean. Woo Hoo we going to have some fun Man!
