... for a basic air con for us, just a ticking fan! The host was incredible though and as soon as he heard the fan, he moved the bunk beds and opened the door to the room next door so we could get some of their air con, so deluxe room at half the price! We're doing well! Our days here mainly consisted of some downtime by the pool, none of us were complaining! A few nights in, it was time for the infamous full moon party! All tie dyed and uv painted up we were ready! We ...

... even greeted here by a woman and her pet monkey! From here (im blogging from here as we wait for the sunset) we can see another isthmus and two bays. This afternoon we also walked to viewpoint one, which overlooks the main town, called Ton Sai village. Since the island has an isthmus, one side is the pier and the other side is the main beach. This doesn't bother us during the day but has led to some rather cautious midnight toilet trips. ...

... me about the Swedes.

Our accommodation? A villa owned by Swedes in a complex occupied almost 100% by Swedes. So much for Caleb making friends with the locals. His blond hair and blue eyes got him nowhere on this leg of our journey.

I can't say that this Swedish invasion made for a very authentic Thai experience. Sure, we enjoyed the beach in the morning and the pool in the afternoon. Yes, we shopped he weekly markets and ...

Enjoying The Island Life Again

... harder then I thought it would be. I'm a confident swimmer but when you have to swim through a cave in a line behind people in the dark (the only light was the guides torch) through slightly rough sea anyone would have a hard time. Lush and green trees are all around the walls which are tall and since there is no roof its like being in a hidden paradise. Walking on the white clean sandy beach and swimming in the emerald colored sea was like being in paradise! It was ...
