    So eventually we do wake and discover we have no Thai Baht and we are no where near anything. Luckily after breakfast the owner of the resort is heading shopping and offers us a lift to the tourist part of the island. The tourist area white sands is what you'd expect from a tourist beach spot and we are even more happier with where we are located. Money exchanged, we go for a Thai massage ...

    ... take us to the pier and then as has happened many times instead of being taken to where was agreed we are dropped in the middle of no where at a guest house who say they will now take us for a much higher cost, we relent after finding out the peer is still 5km away but annoyed at the unethical treatment which seems to be common practice here. Now we cross to Koh Chang on the noon ferry as the stop off meant we missed the earlier ...

    ... a day).
    Eventually we made the bus, frustratingly just around the corner - we could have walked! It was literally waiting for us and took off as soon as one foot was inside the door.
    So that was our eventful reintroduction to Cambodia... Getting cross and being double-crossed at the border crossing.
    We could only hope things got better! (they did when we had our first 'pineapple on a stick' when the bus stopped)
