Meeting up with mates again!

This morning we caught the ferry from Trat over to Ko Chang, an island on the south eastern coast of Thailand near Cambodia where we will be spending the next 5 days. Ron, Claire, Steve and Melissa are coming to join us and it's going to be great to see them all.

As will all of the other places we’ve visited so far, we expected th...

Lazy day by the pool

Helen and I were woken up early this morning by little kids running up and down the hallway outside our room screaming and shouting. We weren't too impressed and you’d think their parents would at least try and get them to shut up! Helen got up and yelled at them to go back to their room, but by that stage the damage was done and we didn&#...

Another day by the pool and a wee accident!

James and Steve were going to go diving today but Steve still wasn't feeling 100% so we just spent another day relaxing around the pool with the others. In the afternoon we cracked open the bottle of Bacardi we’d bought and ordered banana shakes from the bar which were cheap. Banana and Bacardi shakes - highly recommended!

At the ...

Diving Day

Today James and Steve booked in for a dive trip and Helen decided to go along to do some snorkelling and see a bit more of the coastline She's still a bit iffy about diving but thinks she’ll finish her course in Australia with a private instructor.

The pickup this morning for diving wasn’t until 9am so it was a nice easy sta...

Boat trip around the nearby islands

Today is our last day on Ko Chang and so we all booked to go out on a boat trip to visit some of the nearby islands which are supposed to be beautiful.

We were on quite a big newish boat which wasn't even half full which was nice as some of the other day trip boats looked very old and were rammed full of people. Unfortunately though no...

Beach and travel daze

Danny was badly hungover, and was not on good terms with his innards. We spent the day, first, by the pool at our hotel (Beach Road Hotel again), soaking up sun and cooling off in the pool. Danny tried one of the roasted snails that we've seen Cambodians harvesting from fresh water pools all over the country (streams, di...

Beach Bums

Lo, Am typing on a terrble keyboard, sorry So we left bangkok at the reasonable time of 9.45 from the bus station 10mins away from our hostel. After stocking up on supplies at the 7-11 we were away. Bus journey was, as bus journies are, uneventful. The bus window said long live the king on it as in Thailand they really love the king. We've been ...

Koh Chang - Little Eden Stay

We first met Lek in 2007 and promised to visit Little Eden on our next trip to Koh Chang. In December 2008 we just showed up and found it full, but Lek was fantastic, finding us other accommodation (and transporting us to it) until a cabin was available for us. Little Eden is a piece of very affordable Paradise (we paid just 400 baht a night in ...
