... all the tapas bars showcasing the famous pintxos, a collection of finger food items spread out on the bar. It was Friday night, and Donostia (the basque name of the city) felt very much alive and socially vibrant, as its inhabitants wandered the pedestrian streets to meet up with friends and start entering tapas bars to enjoy local delicacies in an upbeat atmosphere. We were In Biarritz for two days. On the first day of Biarritz we arived late. We looked around the shops and then had dinner, then went to bed. ... walls of the city. Segovia reminded us a lot of Rotenburg in Germany. We hiked back up to the Plaza Mayor and then down to the aqueduct, took some more pictures of the aqueduct as the sun was out, and then got on the bus to continue our journey.

Upon driving into Spain it started raining. Day 4 in spain as I write this, and it is still tipping it down. All footwear is now soaked, as are both my jackets, trousers and socks!!
Gave up waiting for the rain to stop and walked into San Sebastian. Nice city based in a sheltered bay with two large hills at either end. One has a small furnicular railway taking you to the top, the other is a more tiring walk through rivers of water flowing
