We left our castle on the hill and set out for what we thought would be a short jaunt to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe! This is a Christian temple set on an island just of the coast north of Bilbao, in the Basque region. Segovia, Burgos and Vitoria

... walls of the city. Segovia reminded us a lot of Rotenburg in Germany. We hiked back up to the Plaza Mayor and then down to the aqueduct, took some more pictures of the aqueduct as the sun was out, and then got on the bus to continue our journey.

We set off for St. Jean de Luz which was quite close by. We decided it is definitely a town that is usually filled by tourists because everything looked either closed or very, very quiet. There was ************e else wandering around so we felt like we were the only tourists there!
