Awake at 6:30 so we decided to take a 2.5 mile walk around Alice Springs before breakfast. Found a Geocache and swapped two PWS coins for two Travel Bugs from Germany & England. We had a slow start to the day hanging around the caravan park till about noon, sitting in the bright sun warming the bones (apologise to all our Vic friends and family as mum said it was freezing down there today!) Another full day, our last in Alice Springs and we haven't done all that we wanted to. We started the day at the Desert Park. A place built to show the environment and diversity of the desert landscape. Besides the soils, trees and shrubs there were drifts of wild flowers, aviaries and a nocturnal house.
