Sorry I have not been able to blog. Forgot the charger for new keyboard and could not download pictures to iPad before yesterday because card would not fit. Computer at hotels always busy and very expensive but now with Belloli family tech support and buying new cord at shop in Venice, am finally able to download pictures at least. Everything great. Day 7
Bit of a sleep in today then we are of towards Venice. The drive thru the alps is amazing. More little villages foloowed by soaring pinnacled mountains then another little village. Lots more tunnels on a really good but busy road. Stopped for lunch at one of the Roadstops. These things are enormous. You get anything from a sandwich to a full blown meal with beir and wine. Day 6
... Empire for 600 years. One thing you can say about Vienna is they know how to build a palace. I wish I could upload my photos. This palace was built in around 1700. It has about 1500 rooms. Remember this is the summer palace so is only used for about 3 months of the yesr. Empress Maria Teresa, who had it built, called it her chalet!!!! This place has 173 hectares of gardens.
