A catchup day, had the car checked and tyres balanced just a few bits and pieces then work for me most of the afternoon then bed for Steve
work for meWe then drove for an hour and met up with Sergio's riding mates at a little trattoria, food was excellent, a lovely fresh tuna salad and lots of nice wine. A great bunch of guys and most of them had some English skills so a good story telling night.
Then working all night till around 2.30am, very tired!

Sergio cooked an amazing spaghetti carbonara with lots of chilli accompanied by red wine and cheese - super yummy and Steve watched so let's hope he makes it when we get back.

We had a wonderful time in Venice today including Mass in the "catacombs" of St Mark's, a fun, long stroll to the Rialto Bridge, lunch in a charming cubby upstairs in a bakery and a gondola ride. Hoping to add pictures tomorrow and you will see that we are dressed like Eskimos. It was really cold. We just finished a delicious five course dinner and are bundling up again to go into the town square for New Year's Eve fireworks. Out Fitbits tell us that we walked over 4 miles today ... So ...
