We were minging after the bus ride from Adelaide to Alice Springs and it was roasting in Alice when we got in. Rang the Alice Lodge where we had booked a room and we were collected by the guy running the Hostel who is from Limerick in Ireland. Settled into the Lodge and then took a walk. I woke up at 6am. Everyone in the coach was starring. They were looking at one amazing spectacle. The orange sun was slowly rising over a landscape inhabited solely by small short bushes and trees. Well, from Darwin we caught the train to Alice Springs, it took us 23 hours which is longer then the flight from the UK. Finally made it to Alice though & stayed at the Alice Lodge Packer's, it was great, it was fun and friendly & would stay there again for definite! Apres Cairns, on s'est decide a aller faire un tour dans l'Outback, pour voir Alice Springs et le fameux caillou (Uluru).
