... line in case we got lucky. We didn't get lucky. The studio tour was quite good, as our tour guide told us the most important thing to know is that "everything is fake" - brick walls are not brick, two storey houses are only one storey inside and in any TV show the back of a house and the front of the same house on set are probably 2 different people's houses in the show. We got to go on the set of the Big Bang Theory (they weren't filming that day) and see lot's of Batman ...
... people all along the way today and went from one extreme to another: homeless ( and some mentally unstable folks ) all the way through to folks driving $750K Bugati and Ferrari cars.
Tomorrow is another busy day for us. Thankfully the time change is working in our favor and allowing us to get up at 6ish without a big problem and get out the door. The weather has been about as perfect as you can get; 78 and no humidity.
Hired bikes and rode along the beach to Santa Monica. Loads of people stretching and working out In n out burger on the way to Disneyland. Disneyland - ****! It has so far been the highest lowlight of the trip and I would of preferred to go shopping... Did I just say that? Buddha's Belly for dinner in Santa ...
So May was upon us, and I was hanging for Summer to begin. Unfortunately, it was a few more weeks off at best. But, that didn't stop me and some friends seeing Dirty Dancing on the Rooftop Cinema. It was a British Airways sponsored thing so we sat in lawn chairs that were comfortable and were given our tickets and a blanket just like on a plane. It was quite cold once the sun went down, but it was fine with the blanket and my jacket on. I LOVE Dirty Dancing so ...
... see the Nethercut private collection of vintage cars on our own. I sensed that the Pamster was only going to keep me company but surprisingly she enjoyed herself. The collection was a mix of luxury cars from the early 1900s through to the 60s. They were in pristine condition and were all gleaming chrome work and lacquered paint. Fabulous and well worth the drive to get there. Also, have I said it was free? On the way back we took a detour ...
