... the wrong thing. Why was I focused on Bennington, we still had some day light, we could go anywhere. So I shifted my prayers to guidance and began to search again calmly. Within the hour we were north of Bennington in a tiny village, in the perfect place to stay, and all of my hopes were being realized. Thanks Jesus.

It's started pouring rain just about when I was ready to leave, so I waited it out for about 45 minutes and then was on my way. Fortunately, this first day was downhill to the Hudson and south to the Mohawk River Rail Trail - very flat. There was a bit of wet weather along the way, but I got to Arrowhead Marina without much trouble. That night, a huge storm blew through, but in my trusty tent, I was dry as a bone.

Went to the Adirondaks
Museum. Wow! what an experience. The history of everything pertaining to the Adirondak region.
Boating, logging, railroads, hunting, water recreation, and you name it. Very
interesting. You could spend more than a day there. Lovely region of the US too.

Saturday. Yellow blazed (drove) 7 miles hiked 8 or 9 miles stayed at shaker campsite. Met up with Zen and Devo. it was cool seeing them again on the trail!

When we arrive at Lake George, the weather has actually turned to nice, with the sun shining for the first time in days. We change our campsite to one that is next to the playground, and the girls have a great time playing for over an hour while I set-up camp and prepare them a dinner of pasta salad with red pepper and cucumber.
