Appelmansstraat 31 Antwerp, Antwerpen, Belgium, 2018, 3-203-5400
Every two years, the weather man declared, there are strong gales in the south of England, the type that disrupt train services, housewives lose their laundry drying on the line, umbrellas get blown inside out - and even trees are blown down. This was the day that we chose to fly to England. It's OK, the gales will die down sometime in the afternoon, said the same weather man, but not after we've flown over to ...
Brussels, Belgium naomianderic... piece that I can put in one of those glass tray tables and make my own nice souvenier. Saw a gorgeous 2-tier, floor-length wedding veil and was blown away! It was just beautiful... Good thing I am not getting married or I would have been soooo tempted to buy it! HaHa!!<br>Then we met up with one of his old college friends, but neither of them had been in Brussels for a long time and many things seemed to have changed, so it took us awhile to get our bearings and find ...
Antwerp, Antwerpen, Belgium h_hurst... impressive than anything we have had in Calgary for years! All accompanied by a very nice Argentinian C******nay- Trivento and appertif- a Asparagus cocktail with Salmon- to die for!! We ...
Antwerp, Antwerpen, Belgium jv3117... get the best seats." A city after mine own heart. I feel like I could transplant to Antwerp... if only I could master Flemish. Oh well... maybe I'm not meant to be from anywhere. I've always felt like a bit of a displaced person anyway. When things get dull and dreary in the winter, and everything starts to look the same, I'll remember Antwerp. Travel is my life... it has to be. When I fall in love with every city, it's unfair to ask me to choose one.
Antwerp, Belgium emiglia... really worries me about the UK. That we are not investing enough in infrastructure, which in cash terms is very expensive. It is not attractive to the private enterprise that runs our public transport and utilities. Without a firm hand, and money, from the government, I can see a progressive lack of investment accruing, with the result that the country effectively slows down. Because people can't get around, or utilities become so expensive ...
Brussels, Belgium jeremyhill... week.....and then there was actual school! FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL: After thoroughly enjoying the LONGEST winter break (4 weeks) ever, I can actually say I was ready to go back to school. I was eager to see what the teaching styles would be like, what kind of assignments and evaluations I would have, etc. I am taking all elective courses consisting of: Origins of Art, European Studies, French, International relations, and Cross ...
Brussels, Belgium norski... and countless saints that I've never heard the stories of. Then there were these post-modern "art" installations that just frustrated me. This entire wing was devoted to life-size photographs of children and adults who were glaring at the camera, drenched in a bucket of water, looking very ****** off. Then there was a Chinese artist who went to great lengths producing this documentary claiming he had cut off 186 cm off the top of Mt. Everest. It was ****. It felt like a complete waste of ...
Brussels, Belgium de_la_austin... whose annual rental fee is around IDR 4 bio, yup! We continued the walk towards Alister's office, which was just on the side of the Scheldt river. Along the Scheldt, the buildings over here were a mixture of classic archi & some contemporary archi here & there which was very nice to see as it all somehows fits in so nicely. Meanwhile the weather was getting hotter, I felt cold in the morning (like it was around 15) but now it has probably reached 20, so I got away of my ...
Antwerp, Belgium iniakupake... France. There my trip will start . I will follow the coastline down to Biaritz, where I will cross the pyrenees to Pamplona in Spain. From there I will follow the Santiago de compostella route, wich I will leave at a certain point to go south to Porto. Off corse I can change my plans every day but this is how I see it at the moment. I don't know how often I will be able to update my travellogue but we see what will happen. Hope to see ya soon!!!
Brussels, Belgium jotraveller... on a moment before he got in the car so that I could enter the backseat from his door. I messed around with the seat for a moment, trying to figure out how to move the seat forward so that I could slide into the back when everyone kinda started laughing. It took me a moment to realize that they have a 4-door. Ok, I'm an idiot. From there, we headed out of town to Antwerp. Antwerp is about 2 hours away. Along the way, we decided to go on a quick search for some beer store that ...
