... The day was a bit cooler than the previous day but the sun was out.
We explored the Old Town by day. It was enchanting. The kids loved looking in the beautiful windows of the candy and chocolate shops.
We walked through the cathedral - so old, so beautiful.
We had three more things to tick off from our list of things to eat - Belgium fries (morning tea), Belgium beer (Clint's lunch) and Belgium Hot Chocolate (dessert at lunch). ...

... a few small towns nearby. We picked a direction and found a campground a short way in! Score! We paid the non-English speaking guy 10 euro and he said to go wherever we wanted. We pitched the tent and then headed out in search of priority 2: food. We headed west towards another town before passing an information sign saying everything was in the other direction. As soon as we returned we went straight to the theatre and had a tech rehearsal. Straight into getting all dressed up and met my family for a lovely meal in the restaurant. ... We practiced our year 7 German on them, lots of 'ich mag fussball.'

They dropped us off at the information centre in Knokke and we gave them some cappuccino flavoured truffles from Brussels. The parting was quite abrupt from their end, but hey, they ARE German, and we were at the seaside!

The information desk attendant said it was nice to walk along the beach and make your way back through the boutique shopping area, so we decided to do just that.
