    ... Barre's Cathedral Cork Good Friday service. Arrived Glasgow at 5.40pm on Air Lingus - a small prop plane - very different to Emirates into Dublin, but all good. Caught the airport bus into the CBD walked the two blocks to the hotel. Quite nice - a very old building but nicely renovated.     ... John Gillespie 1856-1924, lived as a boy. His address in the 1861 census was 133 Sauchiehall Lane. Unfortunately it is no longer there - just a couple of garages there now but many original buildings still stand up and down the alleyway, as well as much of the old cobbled pathway.
