    Today it poured. The rain wasn't heavy, but constant and it soaked through my canvas bag within ten minutes of me wearing it outside. Unlike New Zealand, where even constant rain only lasts for a few hours, this rain lasted for about 8, with absolutely no gaps or changes in density.     I never sleep particularly well when I have an early wake-up, and today was no exception, so I was already awake when my watch alarm went at 4:30am. For once I was pleased that the bathroom is at the other end of our place, so that I could shower without disturbing Mandi.
