We got to sleep in a little this a.m. because we are in Loen for 3 nights and because the coach was not leaving for the glacier tour until 9 a.m. The breakfast buffet was huge but I'm still only eating muesli, so it doesn't take me long.

We didn't have to go far to get on the train this a.m., it was just about a 5 min. walk from our hotel. We were lucky that Tauck had arranged for a train car for our group alone because if we had to compete with strangers for photo opportunities, it would have been very frustrating. The train does take some passengers up to the top of the mountain …
Norway Day 1
We made it back in time to join the tour in Oslo. Although we only were able to spend a few hours exploring Oslo before going to sleep it is one of my favorite Scandinavian cities. ... so kind ..and when they left they clutched my hand and wished us well ,as we did them, on their 4 hour bus journey back home...Off went the fisherman on a genuine looking craft..I trekked up the hill to the Cemetery and Church, which is a lovely spot...to sit, amongst the towering mountains ,with the fjord way below,everything lush and green,perfect...Met with US folk, Karen and Hugh, Karen is on a journey to join cousins she has never met,and for an Aunts 100th Birthday, ...
