      ... operas--we didn't go. By 10:00 pm we were back in the North Sea heading south to Bergen which meant we had to pack because we would be leaving the ship at Bergen, our next port. As we packed, the sea got rougher & I got sicker--finally losing it all again. I finished packing & crawled into bed, the only place to be when in the North Sea! I was thanking God that we would leave the ship tomorrow so I wouldn't have to face crossing it on the last at sea day!

      ... Crow's Nest because of the rain. It really is a beautiful fjord stunning waterfalls on both sides and majestic cliffs covered in pines rising up on both sides. It takes almost 2 hours to reach the sea with classical recordings playing, Anton the deputy cruise director sang Nessun Dorma and then the classical pianist played for 45 minutes.       ... A few of us on the way down all looked at each other and were thinking the same. They are probably breathing the clearest air in the world right now but don’t want to be seen taking any chances. I may be doing them an injustice of course because it could just be a convention of surgeons on a day out!!!

      ... to ask if I or mom needs something. And the breakfast buffet is weird – there’s nobody standing behind the service line to serve you - - it’s TOTALLY a self-service buffet. I liked about HAL was the service to have at least a HOT pancake, a HOT sausage, a HOT piece of toast fresh out of the toaster, FRESHLY scrambled eggs, etc, and it was just nice to have someone there to cook-to-order. It seems an afterthought here. The service is more attentive here, ...
