The drive back to Chania didn't take long, we headed for the sports area with the sandy coves. When we arrived it was busy with people taking their daily exercise, walkers some with dogs, some with prams, joggers and cyclists were completing circuits if the park. After a very stormy night with thunder endlessly rattling around the mountains we awoke to continuing wind and rain. We hadn't set the alarm so we had a late start.
